Postdoctoral position in game theory

Call for doctoral or post-doctoral researchers

supported by the prestigious Momentum Programme of the HAS seeks applicants for one or more doctoral or post-doctoral researchers starting as soon as possible.

The Research Group works on cooperative games with externalities and related topics and therefore applicants with research interests in game theory, social choice theory, IO and related topics, who are willing to collaborate on the Group’s research topics should apply. At the same time, researchers will have the possibility to explore their own research initiatives.

The first appointment is until 31 May 2013, with a possible 2-year extension. In case the Research Group receives the indefinite support of the Momentum Programme, we may be in the position to offer tenure. Salaries depend on qualification and are above the Hungarian salary scales, research/travel budget above European standards.

Applications containing a motivation letter, CV with two references, list of publications including working papers, a 3-year research plan (1-3 pages) should be sent to László Á. Kóczy at  koczy@krtk.mta.hu. A salary-specification is optional. There is no submission deadline, the call is open until the positions are filled.

Applications are evaluated primarily on the basis of research, publication potential. A research plan that connects well with the Group’s current lines of research is a definite advantage. The call is open for applicants for the first period only or for applicants with interest in part-time employment, but an interest in a longer-term employment with this as the primary position is preferred.
